Pension legend on a bank note

Your Deferred Members' Annual Benefit Statement

Your Annual Benefit Statement is an important record of your LGPS membership. It provides an annual summary of the deferred benefits you hold with us.

Your statement shows:

  • the value of your annual pension with effect from April of that year
  • the value of your automatic lump sum with effect from April of that year (the lump sum was built up before 1 April 2008)
  • the date at which you can take your pension unreduced (i.e. Your Normal Pension Age in the ‘Date Benefits payable from’ field)
  • the value of the Survivor's pension which may be payable to an eligible dependent at your death
  • the values of the benefits shown above include the amounts of ‘pensions ‘increase applied in line with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) since you left the LGPS
  • whether you have McCloud Remedy Protection
  • the current value of any underpin amount due if you are protected by the McCloud Remedy

We have produced Explanatory Notes to help you better understand your Deferred Annual Benefit Statement and the McCloud Remedy Protection.
